Been a little distracted lately so I apologize, but I am back now.
My biggest distraction of the past few weeks was that a week ago on Thursday Dom had surgery. It was nothing major luckily. He had a lymph node is his neck that was slightly enlarged and had been for several months so the doctor wanted to remove it and have it tested just to be certain that nothing more serious was going on. It was outpatient surgery and I am very thankful to my parents for making an early morning trek over to stay with the girls. There was no school due to teacher conferences. I am also thankful to my friend Audrey who took the girls in the afternoon for a playdate.
The surgery was quick and I played nurse for several days while Dom took it easy. This included attempting to snowblow the driveway when we got a foot of snow two days after his surgery. I say attempted because, though I had never used the snowblower before, I had to deal another obstacle. The week before the storm the weather was warm-40s and 50s which was great except it turned our dirt driveway into a mess of muddy ruts that froze and then became snow covered which made it nearly impossible to drive a snowblower through because it got stuck in the ruts. I did the best I could and at least we were able to get out of the driveway.
So everything is settling back to normal. Dom is feeling good. The weather is getting warmer and the snow is melting. The driveway is still a mess but it is just a matter of time before it dries out and then I can get my carpets cleaned. You can just imagine what two dogs, two kids and a muddy driveway can do to a carpet. Despite it all I wouldn't trade the change of seasons for anything!

So glad your back! I'm glad to hear that Dom's surgery went well. Can I assume that everything checked out all right?
Hey Cindy...I am so glad your back. I totally knew you had a lot on your plate with everything Dom was dealing with. I wish he wasn't like my mom, and just gets so nervous and worrysome to the point of no sleep and constantly feeling sick. I AM SO GLAD...everything is o.k. I know I would have been the same way Dom was, who wouldn't. But now it is something of the past and he can move on to his #1 priority...you, Becca, Kenzie and we couldn't forget Copper/Boomer/Kitty :o)
I can't wait to see all of you in May...I want to just squeeze those two adorable children of yours.
Miss you tons!!
Yes Jen, all the tests did come back normal. Forgot to include that important info!
