Rebecca started first grade yesterday! She was very excited to go, and had no problems saying good-bye. Though I was a little teary eyed. Her teacher is Mrs. Merriman and her name seems very fitting, as she appeared very animated and well, merry! At the end of the day Becca said her day was awesome and the hightlight was that she got to see a real police officer. I cautiously asked "why?" as visions of bomb threats and psycho molesters invading the school ran through my mind. "To talk about safety." was the innocent reply. Of course safety, what was I thinking?!( but have you seen the news lately??). Okay I was a little bit nervous having her gone at school all day with a bunch of strangers, but she is my firstborn and I am entitled. So all in all everyone survived the first day without incident. Or more accurately I survived the first day, Rebecca had no problems. Does it ever get any easier?

I can not believe that Becca is already in the first grade!! I'm gald she enjoyed her first day. How did Kenzie do with the seperation?
Wow. I remember when she was so tiny...
Alison still has a year to go before she's gone all day, every day. I'm having issues with the fact that she's actually going to be gone TWO days, all day! Wierd...
wow first grade! time sure does fly..never stopping.
How did Kenzie do? Kailtyn use to cry when we'd drop the boys of at school.
trying to get her into a half day program two days a week, as next year she starts Kindergarden and has never been away from mommy.
So I heard that Becca had an AWESOME day at school...and to boot had a request...she wanted nonna to buy her a Scooby Doo lunch box :o) Becca, our cute, shy and smart little girl has now grown to of course still be cute, not so shy anymore (SHOCKING TO ME) and too smart for the 1st grade! Gosh I miss you guys!
