But do I care?
Not really.
It is Christmas break with the kids and it is time to hang out and play. All that stuff will wait, it's not going anywhere. Well I guess it's possible something in the fridge might grow legs and walk away so maybe I should tackle the fridge, but the rest can wait.
I am also completely bummed that most of the Christmas photos I took were not that great. Playing hostess and photographer did not go hand in hand for me this holiday and I wish I had just set the camera on auto and not worried about settings or flash because I handled both poorly. I also wish I had taken more photos. But whats done is done. I'll stop the pity party now and share some pics.
The most popular present was Spyro Dawn of the Dragon for the playstation. There was a rotating round of players from about 7:30 in the morning that continued all day. Notice Boomer in the bottom of the picture hoping to score some food while everyone is distracted by the game. And here are the girls making cookies for Santa on Christmas eve. You can see how thrilled they are to have their picture taken. Especially my oldest. She has that "What the heck are you doing?" look. She learned that look from her cousin Jill.

Know the feeling,Cyndi. But at least you update your blog. That's more than your cousin Tracey and niece Jill do.
Mom
Yep, lack of motivation... I hear you. But today is the day I update my blog, in theory, and by golly... Oh, heck I dunno if I will or not.
We too have an overabundance of cookies, but we practiced good food management and ended up with very few dinner leftovers. Our front room is inaccessable due to gift overrun, and we all smell a little funny for some reason.
Vacation with the kids is awesome, though. Play. Have Fun!!!
Don't let the post holiday and winter blues get to you. Let the housework go (it will be there when you get back - unfortunately)and take a hike with the kids. Perhaps a geocache hunt... Fresh air and appreciating the little things can be things in their proper perspective.
If that doesn't work - maybe a glass of wine???
